Looking for a mattress designer / expert for project, anyone?

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and i have already learnt a lot.
Our company is looking for a mattress expert / designer to help us create a range of mattresses.
This would be to work on a freelance per project basis, and ideally someone based in the UK/Europe but remote work anywhere in the world is also ok.

There are a few people I know that would certainly be “qualified” but they are in North America and I don’t know whether they would be interested or not but I’ll certainly let them know about your post when I next have a chance to talk with them.

How do you call this type of job role? I have been trying to type in google/linkedin mattress ingeneer, designers, experts , etc… but really couldn’t find anything…

I don’t know if there is an official name but I would call them a mattress design consultant.

One question actually, do you think the design process can happen remotely or should I really try to find someone here in Europe?

Hi Moon33,

If the person that contacted you is who I think it is (I called them yesterday to let them know about your post) then I have no doubt in his ability to help you remotely although of course there will be some additional challenges if they aren’t there in person.

To some degree it would also depend on the specific type of consulting you are looking for but he will also tell you whether he believes he is in a good position to help you so I would talk to him first and then you can decide together whether his services would be what you are looking for.
