As you can see in this thread … Hardy Mattresses and Feather Inc has been making mattresses for many years and they are certainly one of the better choices in the Ottawa area.
As you can also see from the information, guidelines, and steps in post #1 here (which is always the place to start when you are looking for a new mattress) … they are exactly the type of local manufacturer that I would be focusing on and the major brands like Sealy and the chain stores where they are usually sold are the mattresses I would avoid completely.
If you have tested the mattress for PPP (Pressure relief, Posture and alignment, and Personal preferences) then the quality and value of mattresses at these types of manufacturers are usually much higher than the major brands.
The warranties or “guarantees” that are usually offered by the smaller manufacturers are part of their customer service and as you can see in post #174 here the warranties of the major manufacturers are mostly about marketing and have little to nothing to do with their quality or how long a mattress will last before it needs to be replaced.
