Looking for quality innerspring firm mattress

I’m tired of mattresses breaking down I just got a floor model beauty rest black c class that started dipping and sagging within a MONTH. I am not a heavy person nor is my partner

5ft 7 185 back sleeper

Her 5ft 6 150 side sleeper.

Looking for a long lasting firm “classic” innerspring mattress that we can then put a topper on to add comfort. Thinking posh and lavish topper

These innerspring mattresses are hard to ship. So, you have to look for them in local stores; better, if you visit manufacturer owned stores. If you are in area served by Original mattress factory, you can get an innerspring from them. Your location is important for innerspring mattresses.

All I have in the Seattle area is local mattress companies selling big name brand mattresses. What about DLX or engineers sleep they seem to have some classic innerspring mattresses! I’m tired of buying beds for them to break down in less than a year. Figured the beautyrest being more “expensive” would do the trick NOPE might just go with firm tempurpedic and put a topper if needed. I’m tired of this bullshit game

Seattle mattress company; bedrooms & more–both are Seattle based. They sell innerspring mattresses. Check with DLX and engineered sleep for innersprings; however, their websites show pocket springs. It also depends on what it means “innerspring” for you. I assumed innerspring = open coils with a border rod.

Thank you for the details. I’m looking for a mattress like they used to make back in the day. I had the best sleep and they lasted forever. Everything nowadays is just marketing and gimmick and shit foam and shit coils that just last for five years and needs to be replaced Probably more so at the two year mark, but we are idiots and try to push longevity longer than it should.

I have the same problems, the same perspectives, and the same questions. Would appreciate any other advice about how to buy innerspring mattresses like the “old days.”

Hey!

If you’re looking for a “back in the day” style bed that is durable and straightforward with innersprings but without all the gimmicks we do have some Trusted Members who still make them the old-fashioned way:

Hopefully this gives you a meatier starting point for finding something you don’t absolutely hate.

Also @moonmurmur I’m tagging you since you’re also looking for help.

I’m here to answer technical/specification related questions too.
