The beds that I am considering purchasing are either 13" or 14" high. We want to use the wood bed frame that we currently own. My wife is only 5’ tall and 78 years old and will have a hard time climbing into a tall bed. Does anyone know where I can purchase a low profile wood slat foundation in the 2" - 4" range.

Luma Sleep offers their slatted wooden frame in a 5" profile and Sleep EZ has a 5.5" profile available.
I tried to do a little additional research and the lowest slatted base I could find on my own was this one but it is a slatted metal frame which probably doesn’t work with the frame you currently own. There was also this option that I ran into.
Is it possible to have what you’re looking for custom made locally?

Thank you very much for taking the time to do the research for me. Unfortunately, I did check Amazon before making the post and came to the same conclusion as you. Although, I haven’t made a final decision. I am strongly leaning towards purchasing my new mattress from Luma and will go with their foundation.
