mattress.net

Hello again,
I have been reviewing the websites of the latex mattress companies that are recommended by TMU. They all seem to be about the same in cost except for mattress.net which seems unusually low in comparison. Is there a particular difference in their product that would make this so?

Hi maryrjones,

Any difference between any of their mattresses and other mattresses you are considering would depend on the specifics of the mattresses you are comparing.

They have many different mattresses available and the types of latex they use includes blended Talalay, 100% natural Talalay, 100% natural Dunlop, and organic Dunlop but the latex in any of their mattresses would be the same or very similar to other manufacturers that are using the same type and blend of latex in one of their mattresses.

They certainly have some great quality/value options available.

There is also more about the most important parts of the “value” of a mattress purchase that can help you make more meaningful comparisons between different mattresses in post #13 here.

I’ve been communicating with them for the past week, i’ve sent several emails with questions, they are helpful and resonpsive. I think they are just very competitive. There quality appears to be just as good as the competition, but typically 10-15% cheaper.

The Eco Sleep line looks like a particularly good value, especially when compared to Casper/Leesa/Tuft.

Elderblaze,

What you will notice with mattresses.net compared to others such as SleepEZ is that mattresses.net charges shipping. They explain on their site that other sites just build the cost of shipping into their prices which is true. When we compared prices, we added the shipping prices into the decision. Mattressess.net was still cheaper, but one needs to consider that the layer exchange or mattress return is not subsidized as it is with other companies. For instance, if wanted to do a layer exchange with mattresses.net, we would pay actual shipping cost whereas SleepEZ would charge us a subsidized flat rate of $30.00.
