I searched this site for mattress pads and the most recent was from 2017, so I thought I’d ask if there are opinions as of late?
We did purchase an Air-Pedic mattress that arrived TODAY.
How is the Air Pedic? Which model did you get? Which website did you get it from?
John
The Air-Pedic and the Isense are two that I would suggest over the SN in that category. Exactly what type of mattress pads are you looking for. I would think with the Air-Pedic and their 6 zone technology, you would not need a mattress pad unless you are looking to luxurious it up with something like a wool or horsehair mattress pad.
In any case, good luck with you Air-Pedic. Use it in good health!

Hi newbedforus,
Congratulations on your new Air-Pedic mattress!
As @Maverick said, With the Air-pedic in most cases you would not need a seperate mattress pad unless you wanted an additional breathable comfort layer. What comfort need are you trying to fulfill?

We have the 850. Got it directly from Air Pedic. Was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived, given we were told it typically can take 4-5 weeks as mattresses are made to order.
As I have in the past, trying to protect the mattress and help keep our allergies on the down low.
I understand your need for a mattress pad. I am a believer that mattress pads or toppers do extend the life of the mattress while offering status quo or increased comfort in the mix.
For a mattress like an airpedic I would think you would want a simple wool or cotton mattress pad, unless you want to invest in a horse hair and wool combo.
Here are a couple of suggestions. The last one, by bio sleep concept, if it is anything like their Iris Quilted Cotton Pillow Cover, as it appears to be, it is just awesome. I got a pair of pillow covers for my horsehair pillows, and they allow my pillows to breath and add a nice touch of uniformity to the horsehair pillow which sometime can feel a bit uneven. The minute I added the pillow cover version, it was like aaahhh!
