Mattress protector and sheets

This may be a very stupid quesiton, but I’ve tried searching for the answer to this and I can’t seem to find a direct answer. I just bought a SleepEZ 9000 and a Luna mattress protector to protect it with, thanks in large part to the great recommendations and advice from this forum (big shout-out to Phoenix!).

Now for the stupid question: do most people sleep directly on the mattress protector, or do they generally add bed sheets on top of it? I ask this because a lot of the reviews seem to talk about how comfortable the Luna protector is and how soft it is, which would indicate to me that they are sleeping directly on it. I was going to just put sheets over it, but wasn’t sure if there was a reason that I shouldn’t.

Hi thecatch,

There’s no such thing as a stupid question … only questions where someone doesn’t know the answer

Mattress protectors aren’t meant to sleep on directly and most people would use sheets over them and would be more comfortable with the “feel” of their favorite sheets than the “feel” of a mattress protector.
