Mattress & topper advice needed for senior

I am sleeping on a 17-year-old SleepEz queen latex mattress. I live alone, and I have the layers configured as (from the bottom) firm, firm, medium. In all the years I’ve had it, I’ve never much liked the soft layer. I’m 69 years old, 5’2", and 173 lbs.

I am considering a firm, flipable, coil mattress from The Original Mattress Factory (Mattresses - Orthopedic Ultra Firm Mattress) and putting a 3" medium latex topper, with a cover on the topper. One of my issues with a 100% latex is that it is way too heavy for me to rotate. I also really like the firm edges of this coil mattress.

Does this sound like a reasonable choice to you? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Why not speak with @Sleep_EZ first and see what they recommend. They may have a solution based on what components you have and other options they can provide or suggest someone else might offer.

Hi ba_the_pa and thanks for reaching out on this! Have you contacted the company to see how much that mattress weighs? It seems like it could be comarable to latex. Also, an all-latex mattress should last 15+ years without flipping or rotating it. Lastly, if you do prefer to flip or rotate the mattress, it’s much easier to unzip the cover and rotate the layers individually, just FYI.
