memory foam as a guest bed

i think memory foam takes awhile to optimize? so as a guest bed makes less sense?

thinking specifically about Bear Mattress for this. Thanks

Hi ducksmack,

I’m not sure what you mean by “optimize”.

The Bear mattress only contains an inch of memory foam so I wouldn’t call it a memory foam mattress but I would be somewhat cautious about choosing a mattress that has thicker layers of memory foam in the top layers as a guest bed because there are because there are many people that aren’t familiar with the “feel” of memory foam and they may not like it as much as other more resilient (springy) materials that can sleep a little bit cooler and that makes changing positions or moving on the mattress a little easier than memory foam.

There are some suggestions for choosing a guest bed in post #2 here that should be helpful.

thx!

do you consider Bear with 1’’ of memory foam to be thick or thin?

and are you saying most other innerspring beds sleep cooler than bear

Hi ducksmack,

One inch of anything would be a thin layer.

No … I was saying that memory foam mattresses with thicker layers of memory foam can sleep warmer for some people.
