they took $168 for a 2" x 60" x 80" piece of 3.0 LB HR foam which should have weighed 16 pounds ( 3.0 LBS x 60 in x 80 in x 2 in / 12 in / 12 in / 12 in = 16.6 LBS ) plus packing materials and delivered me a package which weighs 5 lbs and 3 oz ( i weighed it with two separate digital scales, plus the UPS label says 5 lbs ). foamonline told me they don’t give a rat’s ass and basically go to hell - you can’t return it - you can’t get your money back.
my other toppers ranging from 2" to 3" thickness had ups shipping weights of 25 lbs, 30 lbs, 30 lbs and 39 lbs, and the two which i weighed were 22 and 28 lbs. i actually broke one of my scales weighing one of them - when i held it up and stood on the scale it literally cracked under our combined weight - that’s how heavy REAL foam is. on the other hand i was able to weigh the foamonline package on my OXO food scale thats used to weigh things like a single strawberry. and i still only used up less than half of that food scale’s capacity. i weighed it using bathroom scale as well ( the thinner brand, i broke the seca brand ) but as i said there were no major surprises there - it weighs 5 pounds.
in fact the day it arrived i was 100% sure it was my snugfleece wool - because of how light and small it was - but when the snuglfeece actually came it was both larger and heavier than this supposedly 2" thick 3LB foam.
now this ( them hanging up on me ) was on monday. before that when i called on friday they said “call back on monday” so when i called back on monday they told me to go to hell. well it could have been worse - they could have said - call back on friday !
i knew these people were hopeless but i never thought they would actually hang up on me …
his actual words were “i will only repeat this one more time, there is nothing i can do for you, i’m gone” and then he hung up.
you decide if you want to do business with this company !
my personal opinion is we should have a sub-forum dedicated to user experiences with various vendors, with each major vendor having their own subforum within the subforum. i suppose that will never happen though.
