I would like to give an update on where I am holding with my mattress ordeal/hunt
After purchasing the Pure Latex Bliss Nature and sleeping on it for 2 weeks I realized it was to soft and was giving back pain… I decided to ship it back to the seller at a cost to me of 229.44 through a freight service… I saved $90 by packing it and delivering it to the freight center myself instead of having them pick it up from my door… something I regret as its harder then you think.
I ended up going to Dixie foam in downtown Manhattan and first trying out their memory foam which was amazing and then trying their non memory foam, foam mattress which was also really comfortable.
With the help of the salesman we decided that although the memory foam was awesome it would probably be too hot for me as I am large and sweat… and would come to regret it and instead went with a medium/firm foam mattress for $545 plus $40 shipping. Originally i was leaning towards the extra firm which is one above medium firm as it was comfortable and I thought although a bit firmer than I wanted would break in over time… but the salesmen assured me that if I found the medium firm to my liking that it would be the same day one and day 300!
The mattress is due to arrive this week and I am really looking forward and I’m not complaining about saving $900 either.
These guys supposedly have real good names for high quality mattresses at extremely low prices… if anyone is looking for a memory foam theirs is $745 for a full size and is comparable to the Tempur Rhapsody… which I had before I got married and 70 pounds ago.
