Naturepedic lack of tufting concern?

On my journey like most here and feel strongly about being able to test drive in person. Visited the local Naturepedic store and found that firm/soft would do me well. The question I have is about the zippered cover, if it stretches over time or bunches on adjustable mattresses? Those questions made me realize that the mattress isn’t tufted so how are all the layers kept together? I have to say the mattress looked a little sloppy. At the same time, I don’t love the look of throwing a latex comfort layer on a mattress and using a protector to keep all of that in place either.

Hello Chicagoj, and welcome -

To answer your question about the zippered cover, we have not had complaints about the cover bunching or stretching, and we have sold Naturepedic for over a decade. The fact that they quilt the wool into the cover probably helps prevent that and provides support to the cover.

The cover is snug, which helps to hold the layers in place so they don’t shift. Additionally, the layers are wrapped, and with the pillowtop, in its own compartment which also helps them not to shift around. The coils, as you saw, are individually pocketed so that they can move with an adjustable bed if needed.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your search, and if we can help in any way or answer any questions, give us a call.

Thanks for the info, that helps allay concerns. I’m still debating this v the King Koil Jasmin or Azelea.
