Naturepedic vs Beloit heirloom

Hi

We tried a naturepedic pillow top. The spec we liked best were firm coils, med/soft latex for Mr, firm/soft for Mrs. We liked the mattress, it wasn’t like heavenly or anything, but was comfortable.

We live 2 hours from Beloit. Their heirloom pillow top looks comparable to me. It’s also a family business and a trusted partner here, which I like. But I don’t want to buy it sight unseen, and it’s a bit of a hike. The nice thing about the EOS is we could have different latex on each side, and could swap out layers. I don’t think either are options on the Beloit that I can see.

Can anyone tell me how the quality of components in the Beloit compares with naturepedic? Are they a similar quality level, or is one a step up over the other?

Stats: Mr is 6’3” 215 lbs side/stomach. Hot sleeper.
Mrs is 5’7” 140 lbs side/back. Neutral temp

Hello Chwtom.

So, the difference here is that the Beloit mattress is hand tufted which is why the foam/layers can’t be swapped.

The Naturepedic EOS pillowtop isn’t tufted.

That said, I don’t know that any of the Beloit products allow for layer swapping - tufted or otherwise. They do build completely custom mattresses, as well.

Both Beloit and Naturepedic are known for using high-quality materials, but they have slightly different priorities that can affect how their components stack up. Naturepedic leans heavily into certified organic and non-toxic materials, which is great for people with chemical sensitivities or those wanting the cleanest possible build. Beloit, on the other hand, offers more flexibility in terms of design and materials. They use high-quality natural components like latex and cotton, and their builds tend to focus more on durability and comfort customization. While Naturepedic’s certifications do add value, Beloit’s craftsmanship and material sourcing are excellent, and in some cases, you may get a bit more substance for your money depending on the model. So they’re definitely in the same quality tier overall…it really just comes down to what matters most in your decision.
