nature's sleep mattress

There is presently a groupon for a Nature’s sleep matress at a very low price.I called the company and they stated that the mattress I would be interested in was the same as Their St. Lucia model.I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this mattress or this company. Is this a great deal or is it too good to be true? Thanks for any info. Dave

Hi davidandlynn1,

A mattress is only as good as the materials and components that are in it so if it was me I would want to know the details of every layer in the mattress so you can make meaningful quality and value comparisons with other mattresses.

The good news is that Nature’s Sleep is CertiPur certified so at least they meet this part of the criteria I use for memory foam mattresses in post #10 here.

Without knowing what is in a mattress … you have no way to know if it is good quality or value.

Of course the quality and value of a mattress also has nothing to do with whether it is suitable for your needs and preferences in terms of PPP ((Pressure relief, Posture and alignment, and Personal preferences) and if you are buying any mattress that you haven’t tested in person it is important to ask what your recourse would be and any cost involved if the mattress design isn’t suitable for your body type, sleeping positions, and preferences and needs to be returned.

No matter what kind of “deal” you get on a mattress … it would have little value to you if it didn’t provide you with the quality of sleep that you are looking for or was uncomfortable or produced “symptoms” when you slept on it. Quality and value are completely different issues than the suitability of a mattress (see post #2 here).

I saw some previous discussions on the forum about nature’s sleep that might be relevant:
