Hi all, i’m sure this has been covered but i’ve been searching for a couple weeks and can’t find anything really definitive. Here is my deal: 15 years ago i purchased a memory foam mattress online from somewhere i cannot remember. It is approximately 11 inches thick, with the top portion of memory foam being 4 inches. It is very heavy and to this day feels amazing. Unfortunately i want a queen not the full size that this is, and i cannot find anyone who offers the memory foam itself in a 4 inch. I did find some options at foam by mail that seem to allude this may be similar materials to what i have. I have gone through 2 mattresses in 8 years now and i would really like as close to my old one as i can find. Do they just not make anything like it anymore due to cost or source? We’d love to try and help you solve this mattress mystery. Do you happen to know the brand of mattress you purchased online? Is it an all-foam mattress, or is it 4" of memory foam atop springs? Do you happen to know the density of the 4" of foam currently on your mattress?

Hi NikkiTMU, thanks so much for the reply! I have very limited information on it. I bought it in 2004, and all i can tell is the top layer is pink and 4 inches thick. The bottom is foam as well and is 7 inches thick. appears to be nothing else except those two layers of foam. Nothing on the tag thats helpful. The company says “happy2ez”, and my research has no website listed with that name.

Thanks Sweet Dreams for that investigative research! Foreman, it may be worth giving them a call to ask about that mattress to get some details like the IFD of the foam.
I also did some digging and believe that pink indicates a high density viscoelastic foam and did ultimately find this which is a 5 lb memory foam that comes in 2", 3", and 4".

Thanks. I will give them a shout and see. It was on ebay all those years ago but hopefully they know something. Yes, i did see that website as well. seems there are a couple that sell that higher 5lb pink stuff. I was just trying to confirm that they might be the same foam because the have very good prices on it and their base, and will also customize it for you. I suppose i will give them a call Monday. Well, according to the owner, they never sold online or Ebay, which is where i purchased it. I bought from a company, not an individual. So not sure how it came about but thats the tag on the mattress. I did contact foambymail and they gave me a quote for exactly what i want. I will most likely go that route because i feel the specifications on their foams are as close to what i bought those years ago.
