Need Sealy warranty help!

Well, our Sealy Posturepedic Meadowcrest king was one of the best purchases we ever made from American TV and Appliance several years back. I’m not certain on the purchase date, but the mattress tag says 04/2008 as a manufacture date, so obviously I’m assuming we purchased after that. I would have to DIG and DIG to find an original receipt. Not even sure if I would still have it. Worse than that, American closed so there are no records to be had from them. My warranty on the tag says P1 and there is a long number as well. Can anyone help me out there what this P1 means? I can’t seem to find it on the Sealy site, and would appreciate any feedback anyone can offer. Bed was great back then, but now each side has a huge indent and it’s to the point where my back is killing me. Sadly, this is not a flip over mattress as it has a latex top apparently. And yes, we have turned the mattress several times. One end isn’t any better than the other. Again, any help on a P1 warranty would be fantastic. I’m sure we’re not still covered, but who knows.

Hi colbran,

Here is a copy of the Sealy Warranty Schedule. P1 is listed here as a 20 year warranty, with the first 10 years being non-prorated, and the second 10 years being prorated. Of course, you’ll want to contact Sealy Customer Service to confirm all of this. And they’ll usually require your original proof of purchase, so keep looking for that!

Good luck.

Good news! Found my original receipt, took all the pictures, and this claim is in process…keeping my fingers crossed! I’ll report once I find out how it goes. Thanks for your help!
