Need some reassurance for purchase

I’ve picked out the sealy ti2 gel matress. Just want to make sure it’s a decent matress before spending the money… are these any good?

I know people say to avoid sealy. I can get a pretty good deal on it and going by the description it seems like a good mattress. I plan to use a thin memomry foam topper on top so i mean as long as it stays the way it was when I bought it I’ll be happy.

Hi bgatewood,

I would encourage you to read the tutorial post here and especially the link to the mattress shopping guidelines here before considering any mattress made by a major manufacturer or where you aren’t able to find out the specifics of all the materials and layers inside it.

The tutorial post has all the basic information, steps, and guidelines that you will need to make the best possible quality and value choices … and know how to avoid the worst ones.

The only way to be able to assess the quality of a mattress, identify any weak links it has in terms of durability, or to make meaningful comparisons with other mattresses is by knowing all the layers inside it and without this information I would pass the mattress by.

If you are able to find out the specifics of all the layers and post them here I’d be happy to make some comments about any weak links or the quality of the materials in either of them. Without this you are making a “blind” purchase with much higher odds that the mattress you are buying either uses lower quality materials that will soften or compress prematurely or is not good value compared to other mattresses that use similar or better quality materials made by smaller and more “transparent” manufacturers.
