Need suggestions for having to start the process over

Hi guys,

In late June my husband and I bought a Luxerion Hybrid mattress. The first couple nights were really good, but that was after sleeping on a Denver mattress Doctor’s choice that had craters on both sides. My husband finds it comfortable, and he says he will sleep on anything. I did too, but after a few nights, I would wake up with my hips hurting especially the one against the mattress, so I would have to turn over. I am 5’2" 118 pounds and he is 6’3" 180 pounds. Both primarily side sleepers with occasional back.

Since our 90 day trial is in the last month, I became stressed over the prospect of getting stuck with a mattress that caused me soreness. I spoke with someone at Latex Mattress Factory and he recommended 3" soft Talalay for me, and Medium for my husband given our weight difference. I have only slept on it two nights, but my hips hurt worse and I finally went to pur spare bedroom with an old mattress just to sleep. I believe it is too soft for me. The sides of my hips hurt, my lower back, I think I am sinking in too far.

The thought of starting over is stressful, but I just wonder if Latex is for me. I prefer a firmer feel for support and I do not like to sink. But I also need some comfort. I may try sleeping on the Medium side tonight to see if that helps, but otherwise I am looking for suggestions on starting over.

Our budget would be about 1500.00/King size. I was wondering if anyone knows about DLX, double side? Or can you steer me somewhere else? Thank you.

The luxerion is a high quality bed, but it can be true sometimes latex doesn’t work for some people based on preference. Hopefully a little more substance in the medium will help with alignment since I have seen people have issues with soft.

I think the DLX premier hybrid in medium would probably be better than the DLX latex model. Because polyfoams have more steady responsiveness than latex, so you’d be able to settle in easier without the pushback. But it’s 2200 for a king size. I mean that’s not that much and they have an interest free payment plan.

Hi Sduffy and thanks for the order and thanks for reaching out on this! Please let us know how the medium works out, and please also note that we can extend the trial period to up to 160 days if needed, so no worries there!
