I want to buy a zoned mattress to provide different levels of support in the top middle and bottom thirds of the bed.
Can anyone share recommendations of manufacturers that I should look at for this type of mattress?

Hey there Theslater5,
Offering an answer is not as simple as making simple mattress selection. Although @CST Custom Sleep Tech does offer a customized sleep system that can accomplish what you are asking for using Talalay separate latex components, There are some other options out there such as FloBeds, Shovlin, and other mattress manufacturers that can custom design a mattress on the fly. The simply build the mattress with various component foams and fibers to target all of your requested comfort sections.
The best way to approach this is to speak with one of the Trusted Members here at TMU. You will need to provide your height, weight, sleep position, and general comfort preferences. Just asking for a zoned mattress leaves a lot open and is not always the best solution, even though it seems like it would be.
A lot of people assume zoning automatically means better support, but in reality it depends on how well the mattress matches your body type and sleeping style. In some cases, a properly designed non zoned mattress with the right comfort layers and support system can perform better than an aggressively zoned design. Certain coil systems, latex configurations, and transition layers can naturally provide better alignment and pressure relief without needing very defined zones.
The biggest issue is that zoning is not one size fits all. What works well for someone with broader shoulders or higher body weight may feel completely wrong for someone with a different build. That is why working with a manufacturer that can adjust materials and layer construction based on your specific needs is usually more important than simply shopping for the word “zoned.”
If you are thinking working with a manufacturer to customize a solution is over the top expensive, that would be another misconception.
Talalay latex can work very well in these types of builds because it is available in multiple firmness levels while still remaining flexible and pressure relieving. But the overall design, including the support core, comfort layers, and how everything works together, matters just as much as whether the mattress itself is zoned.
Hopefully, a few of the TM’s will jump in and dive more deeply into what exact you are looking for and make recommendations based on specific needs.

@FloBeds has the v-Zone which people absolutely love.
Are you seeking out zoning for any particular reason?

I would also call out @CST and Obasan at @TheCleanBedroom as latex zoned mattresses. There numerous others that a forum or google search would show.
