Help! Need a new mattress. Currently have a brand new Beauty Rest K-class. Hate it, dimples in it hurt, feel like i’m sinking and hurts lower back when raise head, horrible for sex. Have adjustable Tempur Ergo. Have a few medical conditions: GERD (barrett’s esophagus), cervical spondylosis, 5ft 5”, 120 pounds. Looking at custom made latex coil hybrid. No concerned about cost just about performance. Thank you.

You may want to look at an @DLX latexlux with a quality adjustable base like an @yawnder yawnder 3 or 4 adjustable base. Or an incline sleep.
Companies like @EuropeanSleepDesign, @EthicalMattress and @EuropeanSleep offer some great latex hybrids that will work great with an adjustable base.
@Arizona_Premium and @Sleep_EZ also will help you create a great hybrid latex mattress. All of these 5 companies are home to some of the industry’s best latex hybrid experts.
This is when you need to speak with them as they do this everyday, your complex issues are routing for them. They will guide you through it.
Also, if you are referring to just the Tempur Ergo base, than that is fine and comparable to the yawnder, but the incline sleep offers a flat tilt, that the others do not.

The best? One of the best. The incline sleep 500 does offer the best of both worlds. It combines a standard adjustable bed features and incline tilt. While both the incline tilt and and adjustable base is good for GERD, the incline sleep is best. Because the total incline tilt keeps the head elevated several inches, this gravitation position keeps the stomach contents down. Most clinicians would opt for a complete incline over a partial incline.
So from a clinical and physical stand point a bedframe that has a complete tilt incline, or a bed that offers a permanent designed incline would be best for GERD.

There are quite a few companies that offer tilt as well as full adjustability. I think the “best” elevation is one where you get the reflux (and potentially breathing) benefits of the incline, but don’t also disrupt side sleeping (unless you are a back sleeper already). One of the biggest advantages of a tilt adjustable is that you can start with less and go up as you get used to it. Correct height and firmness pillows, as well as a knee pillow to help stabilize your hips and lower back, are also super helpful if you are having trouble. Also, because hip pressure increases with incline, and the bend in the mattress can increase contour depth at that point, I kind of feel that creating softness with a topper instead of the overall structure of the mattress can be beneficial (although we are always guessing, right?)

can you tell me a little about where I could fin an actual tilt bed it sounds like what I need!
Ok. So most mainstream adjustable/moveable bases are similar in terms of build quality (avoid anything that seems too good to be true price-wise and you should be ok).
All middle to high end adjustable bases from Malouf, Leggett, Rize, Symphony, Ergomotion, etc…, have an upper body tilt and a leg elevation. Trade-ups add, pillow tilt (nice feature), wall hugging (some people care), lumbar support (I don’t get it but some like it), massage (see lumbar support), anti-snore, and extra memory features. Bigger additional features are elevation and full body tilt. Full tilt inclines the entire surface without bending in the middle, although the two can be combined for some nice positioning. The Rize Contemporary with a lift kit was impressive (we don’t currently carry it), as was Symphony Sleep (I’m a little concerned about the grid support for a thinner mattress). The others mentioned above sound good as well. These beds are available from multiple retailers and I would recommend visiting a store to feel each one’s unique geometry. Currently we carry Malouf, and don’t have a whole surface incline at the moment (will be adding soon), but once again, the quality of the mainstream adjustables is pretty level. Hope that helps

So, I have decided to try a topper on my bed to get a feel for what it would be like to build a custom one. I’m trying to decide on the thickness and what kind of latex. Is there a company who I could buy a topper from and then be able to use it when I decide on getting a whole new bed?
