Glad to find this site! Husband and I need new mattress as our 12 year old Tempurpedic is finally breaking down. There was no question we wanted we another Tempurpedic firm mattress, until we started shopping and reading reviews. I’m getting the impression Tempurpedic quality isn’t what it used to be and reviews about the warranty are not encouraging.
We are small/average weight, definitely prefer a firm mattess and prefer memory foam. There are so many out there now it’s overwhelming. I wonder if reading reviews and ratings is reliable.
Bottom line: Has Tempurpedic quality declined? If so, what mattresses are of similar quality to the good Tempurpedic? Thanks for any help information you can offer.
If you like firm, you can go Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Firm which is extremely firm. A better choice might be Luxe Adapt Firm because is firm, yet conforming.
I dont really like LuxeBreeze Firm because the cooling tech (many say it doesnt work) interferes with the conforming qualities. LBF feel more brittle and coarse when compared to LAF. LAF was superior in comfort and I dont care abouf cooling.
Also, LAF has 5 zones. Firmer for lower back and softer for shoulders.
Thanks John. I’m unsure about Tempurpedic now because of the many reports of the mattress breaking down in 2 or 3 years and no good response from the company. It’s got me a bit skittish about Tempurpedic.
