I’m looking to purchase a mattress this weekend. Right now I have a sinking Serta iSeries. I did go to a store and test some mattresses, the only one I absolutely loved is out of my price range (Tempur Pedic Tempur-Luxe Breeze Firm. I do not want to finance) and most were hybrids. I don’t really want another hybrid. The latex mattress I tried was dunlop and it had the firmness that I liked. I am a side/back sleeper with fibromyalgia and nerve pain all over. I was looking at Naturepedic or Sleep on Latex but am open to suggestions.
Well, if the one you liked was an all latex mattress, all you really need to do is figure out the fitness of the layers that were in there. Then you order from whichever company you like best. They will all come with the layers separate from the cover but all you do is put the layers in then zip it up.
This is one of the most affordable options. The usual build would be from top to bottom - soft, medium, firm
Non DIY. Non Hybrid. The latex mattress I tried, (Kingsdown Comfort) was a hybrid. I did like the firmness Dunlop latex on top, but I do not want another hybrid and I do not want one with very deep quilts in it.
It says diy, but every company you purchase from usually ships the layers separately from the cover. So while technically it “wouldn’t be” diy, it still would be because almost always with a full latex bed it consists of putting the latex layers into the cover. Which is the same concept with the website i sent, just their prices are very affordable all things considered.
