Non-Toxic Mattress

Thanks, I read through it and I assume the vendors linked to the forum provide good products. I’m just looking for a few recommendations especially on my lower price range.

Each person can have a very different definition of what “non toxic” means and can have a different answer to the question of “how safe is safe enough for me?” so the first thing I would decide on is the type of materials you are comfortable with having in your mattress. Post #2 here and the posts and the other posts it links to can help with this.

As far as “safe materials” go, I would feel comfortable with a bed that using natural materials. My main concern would be if any harsh chemicals were used in the production of the mattress. I don’t particularly need any type of certification but it wouldn’t hurt.

The Ecoscape mattress uses high quality and materials (100% natural Talalay) which are very durable so there are no lower quality materials or weak links in this mattress.

Thanks, I really liked the Ecoscape mattress. Can you think of any others in this price range that I should look at?

I’m guessing you’ve seen this as well but just in case you haven’t then the better options or possibilities I’m aware of in the Washington, DC area are listed in post #2 here.

Thanks for the list. I plan to go to Mattress Traditions and Healthy Back today to take a look at some. However, it seems the prices are better online verse buying locally so will have to take that into consideration.
