Newer company, founder has been around for years and developed foam and technologies for all the big companies.
TENCEL MATTRESS COVER
Made with premium moisture-wicking fibers available— botanically derived, eco-friendly, breathable, more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk, cooler than linen.
The ascension layer is a specially designed hybrid adjustable foam 3 psf with phase change gel particles to maximize heat dissipation. Our middle layer is two inches of memory foam, it’s a special grade designed to minimize motion transfer. The density is 4 psf. The support layer is a 1.8 psf high performance high durability, open cell foam.
I’ve read about Nuvanna, but they’ve not been mentioned previously here on the forum.
Nuvanna is another one of the many newer boxed-bed products (launched January 2017). The founder, Alvaro Vaselli, to whom I believe you are referencing, is most recently a marketing and finance specialist, who has worked previously at FXI, and also has experience in material science. I’m personally unaware of any specific foams or technologies that he has developed to which you reference.
The uppermost layer uses 2" of a newer-generation high performance polyfoam that is 3 lb in density. Beneath that is 2" of a 4 lb memory foam, and beneath that is a polyfoam core that is 1.8 lb and 6" thick. This product uses good quality materials and there would be no “red flags” for those in a more normal BMI range. The mattress is made in California and uses foams also produced in California, and they are CetriPUR-US certified. There is a focus on the product attempting to be more breathable and cooler sleeping in the upper comfort layer.
Phoenix, I was passing on what he told me. This is copied and pasted from his email response to me.
I have been in the foam/mattress business for over 25 years and have developed foams and technologies for the biggest brands (i.e.: Tempur, Sealy, Simmons, Serta, King Koil, Spring Air, etc.). Sorry if that is inaccurate.
Thanks for the additional information. I don’t know what was provided to you to be accurate, only that as I previously stated, I am personally unaware of any specific foams or technologies that he has developed. Whenever someone makes a general comment on the forum about development of products or technologies, it is always nice to have more specific substantiated information to help inform the readers here on the site. I appreciate you taking the time to clarify the source of your comments on your original post.
