The first place I would start your research is the tutorial post here which has all the basic information, steps, and guidelines you will need to make the best possible choices.
Outside of how good a “match” a mattress is in terms of PPP … the most important part of a mattress purchase is knowing the specifics of the materials inside it so you can identify any weak links in the mattress and make more meaningful comparisons to other mattresses. In terms of quality and durability a mattress is only as good as its construction and the quality of the materials inside it regardless of the name of the manufacturer. This generally means doing all your shopping with manufacturers or retailers that are completely transparent and can identify all the specific information you need about every layer and component in a mattress.
The Simmons Natural Care mattresses are generally a latex/polyfoam hybrid and latex is a good quality and durable material in the comfort layers of a mattress. If your retailer provides you with the specifics of all the layers in the mattress (The thickness of each layer, the type and blend of the latex and the density of all the polyfoam layers) I’d be happy to make more comments about any specific mattress you are considering.
Obscure names like “Comfort Response Technology” or “Independent Response Technology” that Simmons uses that don’t describe the type of materials are only marketing terms and need to be “translated” into more meaningful descriptions to be able to make any meaningful purchase decisions.
