I ordered the DreamFoam Mattress Ultimate Dreams 13-Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress, Queen on the weekend. There’s a 10% discount on their facebook page, so I ordered direct from them rather than Amazon. However… I measured my old mattress, and it’s only 10". I’d put a 3" topper on it, and my poor senior kitty can’t get up on the bed anymore, with the steps I have. Perhaps this is an odd way of choosing a mattress… but… Is there a 10" dreamfoam mattress, with as high of density foam but with a similar comfort level, or maybe just a little more firm (not a lot) than the 13" gel mattress? I’ve put in a message with Dreamfoam asking the same question (I did on the weekend) but haven’t heard back yet, and I’d like to consider alternatives before my purchase ships.

They will be more familiar with how their mattresses compare than anyone else so a conversation with them would probably be your best source of guidance. They do have their 10" gel memory foam mattress here which uses 3" of 4 lb gel memory foam but it’s firmer than the 13" mattress you ordered.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I think I need the comfort of the 13". I’ll just have to put in some cash for a pet ramp for my 20 year old cat 
Hopefully she’ll use that. Well, I saved 10% on the mattress, and a good deal more than that for going with the DreamFoam rather than the Tempur-pedic Cloud Luxe, so I can afford it. I’m hoping, as they say, that the DreamFoam is just a little firmer than the cloud luxe.
