Overthinking? Need some insight!

I bought a HYBRID mattress (a Sealy’s) that I really liked at Mattress Firm. However, for the foundation/bed frame/platform, etc., I decided to look elsewhere. I didn’t like what I saw, so, decided to try Mattress Warehouse in my area, to speak to a live person (+ reviews are solid).

After speaking with the salesperson, I went with a Sealy’s foundation, which would be placed on top of a Knickerbocker that I desperately wanted and researched after reviewing many (ULTRA cheaply made) frames on Amazon/Wayfair/Walmart. The Sealy’s was chosen partly because the recent mattress was also made by Sealy’s and would pair well due to any potential warranty issues. So, I initially felt good.

However, even before leaving, I started feeling weird. I wondered if I made the salesperson’s job too easy and not countering more as I did. After I left, I see the Sealy’s was/IS actually considered a “BOX SPRING Foundation” on the website!" Further, the “premium” Knickerbocker was actually the lower-tiered “Bedrock” variant - NOT “Ultima” or “Monster” - the one(s) I really wanted.

I tend to overthink and overanalyze things and not “trust the process” quite a lot. The salesman is mid-to-late 50’s/early 60s and said he’s been doing this for over 20 years. The reviews at the store he’s located has a 4.9/5 on Google, which I thought would be plants/fakes. However, after vetting them, all seem genuinely HAPPY with their purchases and a few even name dropped the salesman I purchased from. Hell, 1 customer even left HIM a positive, glowing review - just for helping tie a piece of furniture (bought at a competitor, literally, right next door!) to his car roof!

However, 2 things still remain: 1, the “foundation” from Sealy’s - there’s literally no information online of what is under the “hood,” so to speak. Even the manufacturer’s website says, under Quality: “Long-Lasting Materials” with no objective specifics of WHAT those materials are. 2nd, the bed frame I’m not entirely pleased with. Yes, it is still above and beyond what’s on Amazon, but it’s not “the one” I actually wanted.

Am I overthinking/overreacting? And wait until delivery, set-up, sleep on it (which, BTW, isn’t until Aug 7th!). Or should I put an end to the whole thing?

Cancel the whole transaction and start fresh. Mattress Firm is not the best.

Cancel. But then what’s the alternative?

Take the TMU course. Keep looking. I bought BackScience2 myself.
