Is there such a thing as a platform (not sure what to call it) bed frame that has slats on the actual frame -not just the part where the mattress sits? I need a frame that won’t allow my cats under the bed but I also want the air to flow underneath. Everything I see is box-like or it has room on the bottom for a cat to squeeze through.

Great question about slatted bases that won’t let your cat under the bed. In my research, I’ve come across options like this which is quite simple or also this style which is quite involved.
They are low profile mattress bases so your bed would be relatively low to the ground, but it does eliminate the under-bed space issue.
Is this what you’ve been finding as well? Are you looking for something different to those styles?

Thanks for your response. Those links show platform bed frames with slats where the mattress goes. I’m looking for bed frames that have air flowing UNDER the bed, not under the mattress. So the frame either needs to not come all the way down to the floor (but only have about an inch of space) OR have slats on the frame itself. I want the air in the room to flow all over the room and these platform beds stop the air from doing that. Hope this makes sense. Thank you

I think I understand what you’re describing. Either you need something like this that is very low profile or something kind of like this but on all sides, so some air can get in but no cats can.
I also found this this which seems to come very near to the floor.
Is this more in the right direction or am I still not seeing what it is you’re envisioning?
