Hello! I was hoping to get some help from the community. I don’t find mattress shopping fun at all! I have Fibromyalgia and lower back and neck issues so it can be challenging to get comfy and a good night’s sleep. I have a Rhapsody Temperpedic (didn’t realize it was on the firmer side when I bought it) that has gotten more tolerable after gaining 20 lbs. and owning if for 5 years. However, I don’t want to buy another Temper mattress. The mattress I’m replacing is a traditional Beautyrest.
I want to buy a White Dove mattress (Ohio company) but can’t decide between two of them. I have tested both but don’t feel like driving an hour to test a third time.
Here are my two options:
White Dove Generations (either medium or plush)-$2199
Experience superior support! Tailored for the mature lifestyle, this mattress specifically targets your body’s sensitive pressure points and lower back, ensuring tranquil and rejuvenating night’s sleep.
-Frost Fiber Cooling Technology
-Memory foam center infused with silver, copper and graphite
-1000 Tri-zone wrapped coils
-Hand tufted
-15 year warranty
White Dove Nature’s Legacy Willow II-$3100
Renewable rubber tree foams offers more comfort, support and durability than traditional poly foams. These mattresses offer buoyant breathable comfort while supporting every part of your body.
-6" Dunlop Latex Core
-3 Layers Natural Latex
-Cooling materials: Joma Wool and Bamboo Sleep Surface
-strong 10 year full warranty with a 1" body impression intolerance
Did one stand out to you in terms of comfort and support in your initial testing?
It sounds like they are using zoned coils. This can sometimes be less comfortable, depending on your support needs. If you don’t need firmer support in the shoulder/knee/hips then this may end up being a bothersome situation.
Eeeehhhh. My knee jerk reaction is to avoid this kind of memory foam (especially when they don’t disclose the density of the foam). Too many reports of infused foams crumbling due to the integrations.
Also what is this?
This bed is likely going to have a longer lifespan than the memory mystery foam model. It says 3 layers of natural latex.
Is it 6 inch core and three 1" layers of comfort foam? Or what’s the breakdown of the comfort layer?
Very good options for regulating temperature. This sounds very comfortable.
Thank you so much for replying!!! Both are comfortable…that’s the problem. I think the Willow II is 6 inches Dunlop and 3 inches Talalay. I did try an all Talalay mattress that was 10" but I didn’t like it as much. It’s hard to compare mattresses when you go to different stores. It would be SO much easier if they were all in one place.
I think I’m going to go with your suggestion and get the latex. My primary dr. says latex is the way to go. I will bite the $500 delivery charge and the no 120 trial (store in Cleveland and I live in Columbus).
I hope you have a great weekend. Thank you for your help!!!
