Portable Seat Cushion for flights?

Hi there, I know this isn’t a mattress question, but given the expertise about cushioning in this forum, I figured it may be applicable. I am going to be taking a long haul flight in the near future, and I’ve read that the seat I’ll be sitting in has almost no padding. I’ve experienced this before, and it has made for a very unpleasant flight. This time I’d prefer to be prepared with a portable seat cushion, and I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice. I recently purchased a SleepEZ latex mattress, and accordingly, I’m starting to wonder if firm latex might be suitable for a cushion – I could probably handle stuffing a 2" pad into my carryon. Has anyone had experience with something like this?

I’ve also need a lot of discussion about Purple pads. They seem to be very aggressively marketed towards office use and trucking. From what I can gather, they’re a foam grid that is supposed to allow for very good breathability.

I think probably an inflatable is going to be just about the worst option, and I’m pretty leery of memory foam as well - I just don’t think it’ll provide proper resistance / support.

Has anyone had a favorable experience with a portable cushion? Recommendations, experiences, and general info are all very much appreciated!

Maybe look at motorcycle seat cushions…? I know the AirHawk did wonders for me on longer rides.
