First time poster, but have been voraciously reading all of the great info on this site.
I’m curious to know what has been anyone’s experience who has purchased a luxury brand such a ViSpring, Hastens, Hypnos, etc. as far as how much of a discount they were able to negotiate, if any?
Do dealers in these brands have less markup to work with than dealers of the mass production brands and/or do these brands tend to be much more restrictive about how much they will allow their dealers to discount off the suggested retail price?

The ultra-premium brands like those you’ve described tend to have very strict dealer agreements in place that detail minimal advertised prices and minimal selling prices. Violation of these agreements can result in the termination of the dealer’s ability to carry the product.
Some brands will allow for certain periods of floor model offerings (which may or may not be offered with a warranty), or factory-promoted discount periods/promotions. Some will offer discounts to high-end designers and architects who furnish homes for some of their “upper-end” clients.
With all of that being said, there are some dealers who will negotiate off of these minimum advertised prices, and there may be some members here who are willing to share their experiences, but they may also be hesitant to share dealer information, as it could potentially result in that dealer running afoul of the brand they represent.
In the end, it certainly doesn’t hurt to ask if there is any way to get a lower price on any of these particular brands, but it would come down to a dealer-by-dealer basis. These products, as you’re already aware, can be in some extremely high price ranges and use some exotic materials and involved methods of construction, so there is little competition and these brand see no reason to “discount” what they are marketing as an ultra-premium product.
