Pure Crafted Beds

We were really interested in the TruEssence bed from Pure Crafted Beds because they are a local company which might give us an opportunity to test it out. Other than the reviews on their website does anyone else have any experience with this mattress? I’m new to mattress buying but wondering about the foam they use inside? From their website I see that they use an EcoShield cover imported from Belgium that looks promising but I can’t find any info on the foam they use other than the thickness so I was concerned about the quality of this.
The reviews on their website are from The Grand Hotel owner and another hotel proprietor so I have to believe these are quality products. Just not sure what bed types these reviews are referring to.

Thanks in advance

Hi celtic586,

You may already know this but Pure Crafted Beds is a member of this site (they are actually the newest member) which means that I believe they compete well with the best in the industry in terms of their quality, value and service. They are a subsidiary of Capitol Bedding which is a multi-generational wholesale manufacturer that has been making some high quality/value mattresses for many decades but up until now they were only available in retail stores and this is their first venture into factory direct sales on the internet. When I talked with the owner I was very impressed with his overall philosophy and the attention they put into using high quality materials in their mattresses in every budget range and they are avoiding the more general trend in the mainstream industry that tends to use increasingly lower quality materials in their mattresses.

There is more about the most important parts of the “value” of a mattress in post #13 here but in terms of the quality of the materials the TruEssence uses 4 lb infused gel memory foam along with 2.4 or 2.5 lb transition layers (depending on the firmness you choose) and a 1.8 lb base layer which are all high quality materials and there are no weak links in the mattress.

While they are normally only available online … if you are in the Lansing area then you are fortunate because I just confirmed today that you can make an appointment with Jennifer at the Pure Crafted Beds number to try them out in the factory which isn’t a showroom but would give you a chance to test the mattresses in person.

Thanks for the awesome info and confirming with Pure Crafted Beds about visiting their factory to try out. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Hi celtic586,

I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience there
