I was wondering what your thoughts are about the Purple Mattress, in general and more specifically on the build of their mattress and the quality of the materials they use?

Here are their spec’s for the make up of their mattress:

Trial & Return: 100 Nights
Warranty: 10-Year Limited Warranty
Build:
Top Layer: 2" Hyper-Elastic Polymer™ material in Smart Comfort Grid™
Non-toxic polyethylene copolymer powder coating
Middle Layer: 3.5" 1.8 lbs density polyurethane foam
Base Layer: 4" 2.0 lbs density polyurethane foam
Color: White
Fabric Content:
Knit Fabric: 29% Viscose, 67% Polyester, 4% Lycra (all +/- 5%)
Weight: 450 g/m2 (+/- 10%)
Non-Slip Bottom: 100% Polyester stitchbond with non-FR coating
Fire Retardant: Non-Toxic Knit Barrier (not chemically treated)
Basic Care: Spot clean with mild detergent (Eg: upholstery cleaner). Machine wash/dry not recommended.

Purple uses a unique bucking column gel they call Hyper-Elastic Polymer. There is more about buckling column gel in this article and in post #2 here and the posts it links to and a forum search on " buckling column gel" will also bring up more comments and feedback about it as well.
