Queen Mattress Smaller Than 80x60

I tried doing a few searches but couldn’t find any info. I purchased a latex mattress and when it was put inside my bed it appeared smaller than my old mattress. I measured it and it comes to about 78 1/2 x 59 1/4. Is it normal for a mattress to be a little smaller than the standard dimensions?

It is common for mattresses to be a little bit smaller than the standard dimensions. 60x79.5" is actually the standard size. I would say its borderline in your case but realistically acceptable.
