Question for CozyPure owners

After way too much research, I think I’ve decided on the CozyPure 12" Natural Comfort kiss Mattress.

I’m writing to see if any current CozyPure mattress owners had advice on firmness level for the 3" middle layer. I know this is a purely personal choice, but I’m curious if people have been happy with the firmness they chose, or if they had to purchase another layer. For reference, my husband and i are both side/side to back sleepers and are average/below average build. I am sensitive to the pressure points of my hips and shoulders, while my husband prefers a bit of a firmer feel. I was thinking of doing medium for him and soft for me, but I’m concerned the soft will be too soft.

Anyone have a review of their current CozyPure build? Also, I see the only option for the king size is for split 1st and 2nd layers. Can you feel the split when in the middle of the bed? Do the two sides sink in? That is a concern of mine.

Thanks for any and all advice!

Andrea

Hi ahfmurph,

Welcome to the Mattress Forum!

I know it can be difficult to go too far “down the rabbit hole” of information gathering, but I’m glad that it seems you’ve found some light at the end of the tunnel. If you do decide to go with CozyPure, they re a site member here, so remember to ask for your TMU discount. I do think highly of them, their advice and the quality of their products.

You are correct that comfort selection is a very personal preference, and what might work wonderfully (or poorly) for another individual has no bearing on what might work well for you.

One thing I will recommend is to have a detailed phone conversation with the people at CozyPure (they encourage their customers to phone them before placing an order) and they can use their experience with their products and how that might apply to your situation and needs, and they’ll be able to offer the best advice as to what they think will give you the best chance at success. They’ll be the most knowledgeable about their products and how they will potentially react to your somatotype, sleeping style and personal needs and preferences.

There is a customization available in the 3" latex layer for the left and right side (soft, medium or firm) in the queen or king of their KISS mattress, and they would be able to assist you with any advice on potential configurations with a phone call. The core and upper 2" convoluted latex are solid pieces. If the middle 3" layer is split, it is not something you’d tend to notice, as latex is quite pliable and point elastic, both of the pieces are the same 3" in thickness, and also you have the top 2" convoluted layer and mattress covering over that seam. CozyPure also offers their Lifetime Comfort Correction, where you may swap out the 3" layer one time for the wholesale cost of the foam in case your comfort preference changes, and they allow you to keep the original layer as well. As far as “sinking in”, latex is a very durable and resilient material, and whether or not you split the 3" layer for different comforts, your durability would not be negatively impacted.

I’ll look forward to any other questions you come up with, or learning about any decisions you make regarding a mattress.

For what it is worth, I just got a Savvy Rest all latex mattress (queen) with split layers. I’ll write up my impressions after a few more nights but I absolutely cannot feel the split and I tend to roll all over the middle of the bed

I did notice today when making the bed a very slight bump in the middle, where one layer is now a bit higher than the other, so I’ll go in (i.e. unzip the cover) and readjust the layer. The delivery guys actually put my mattress together and while they were great, I don’t think they managed to get all 3 layers lined up perfectly.

My new mattress is also covered with a new, cozy pure 100% cotton mattress protector and the quality of it is exceptional. Softer than my beloved sheets!

Hi photocat,

You’re probably correct. You may wish to roll up the layers and “put a wave” through each of them to make sure they have settled evenly. With latex bring quite “grippy”, it will tend to stay in position unless you reposition it.
