My wife and I have been looking around for a new mattress. We have a local business that sells the http://www.citymattressfactory.com line of factory direct mattresses.
We like the 10" Royal Touch with 3" of cool gel.
Also a option is the ALYSSA model with micro coils and 2" of cool gel.
Just looking to see if anyone actually knows the construction of these since my guy here wasn’t as helpful as yall could be. Thanks

I don’t know the specifics of the materials in either the Royal Touch or the Alyssa but I would make sure you find out the specifics of all the layers and components (see here) in any mattress you are considering before making a purchase. Any good retailer should be happy to call the factory and find out for you if they don’t know the specs of any of the mattresses they sell.
There is more about the most important parts of the “value” of a mattress purchase in post #13 here and outside of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) making sure that you know the type and quality of the materials and components in a mattress so you can confirm that there aren’t more than “about an inch or so” of lower quality materials or weak links in the design is the most important part of of a mattress purchase.
If you do find out the specifics of either mattress and post them on the forum I’d be happy to make some comments about them but without this information it’s nor really possible to make any meaningful comments about the quality or durability of any mattress.
