I have read many reports regarding the safety and efficacy of these two barriers - but I am familiar with wool. Considering the characteristics of each - is the rayon loft going to perform similarly, with regard to compression over time - or howsoever compare? Initial comfort level is indistinguishable. Price is definitely less for rayon, but the issue is only of moderate concern overall.

It would depend to some degree on the specifics but in general terms inherent rayon/silica fire barriers are thinner and won’t develop impressions over time while wool fire barriers (again depending on the specifics) can develop some slight impressions.
