Replacing Jamison Cloudwing

Our Jamison Cloudwing mattress needs to be replaced but they don’t make them anymore. Need help please. Construction is a 7" polyfoam core, 1.8 lb density but I don’t know the ILD. Over that is a 1" medium talalay and a 2" soft talalay, but again, I don’t have ILD on the comfort layers. Can anyone out there help me? I would like to know the ILD of the three layers so I can specify the same as what I had if I have a custom mattress built.

There is a way to test (not the real ASTM test but gets very close) at home to check the ILDs but it’s a bit complicated so unless you really need to know it’s likely beyond what most folks are willing to go through to find the answer (I was testing materials for my own DIY). Have you tried going to the manufacturer and asking if they will give you the specs on that mattress? If not I suspect you may be able to guess a bit on the specs. Soft latex is probably 16-20 ILD and medium is probably 24-28 ILD but the polyfoam is just a density number and not an ILD/IFD. That said it’s probably in the 26-32IFD range as well due to the lower density rating (1.8) given. Always best to get these from the manufacturer or to test at home and know for sure what you have if at all possible.
