Rocky Mountain Mattress

Hi,

We are looking at 2 different mattresses at Rocky Mountain Mattress, the sunrise (8") and the sundance (10"). Is there any reason to go for the thicker mattress? They seem to be very similar, the sundance having 2" more of convoluted foam. Has anyone out there purchased any of these? If so, let us know if you are happy with your mattress!

Thanks!
Jon

Hi Malxter85,

The differences in design between mattresses is to help a mattress “fit” what I call PPP which is Pressure relief, Posture and alignment, and Personal preferences that are unique for each person. The goal is always to match a mattress to your body type, sleeping style, and personal preferences which is the reason that mattresses have different thicknesses and softness/firmness in the different layers. There is more about this in the overviews and the other pages in each section under the mattresses link of the site (particularly in the “putting the layers together” and the “sleeping style, preferences, and statistics” sections)

Since they are the “experts” on which of their mattresses would have the best odds of fitting different budy types and sleeping styles (based on their knowledge of the construction of each mattress, averages, and on feedback from many customers) … I would make sure to talk with them before deciding on which one may work best for you.

The difference of 1.5" of convoluted foam can make a significant difference in which one may work best for you.
