Is it possible to get a decent latex topper for a twin size bed for up to $100? Something around 2" thick. Latex seems to be very expensive compared to memory foam. I have a relatively firm high-density foam base and would like a softer topper, preferably not hot and more durable latex. I’ve been using a memory foam bed for the past 7 years, and even though it has some “cooling” advertising, it’s definitely been on the hot side. I’d like to try latex instead, but my budget is pretty restricted at the moment.
Welcome back to TMU ! Nice to see you again, it’s been a while!
Congrats on your new latex topper shopping journey ! Latex is more expensive than other foams for two reasons: the cost of its ingredients and the cost of its manufacturing process. Are you referring to purchasing a covered topper or bare latex? Even so, interested in your answer; however, it’s likely doubtful to find a latex topper in a twin size for $100 all-in.
Not trying to be too “sales-ish” but keep in mind that latex is a highly durable material and will last longer than other foams; therefore, the long-term cost could be less expensive than the replacement costs of other foams over time.
