Seeking suggestions: Ongoing mattress search for side sleeping couple

Hi all - not sure how this place has escaped my notice before now, but am really appreciative of the wealth of info it offers.

My partner and I have been struggling to find the ‘right’ mattress for quite a while now, and I was hoping to get some sage advice from this group.

Background:
Her: 5’8", 140lb side sleeper. Sleeps hot, but overall a sound sleeper. Most often sleeps on her right side and sometimes experiences pain in her right hip (but I think this is mostly from first falling asleep on the couch most nights  )
Me: 5’8" 160lb combination sleeper. Difficulties falling and staying asleep. I toss and turn, but almost always end up on my left side. Lately this has been causing some pain in my right hip which is definitely a muscle related pain as stretching/movement alleviate the pain throughout the day.

Our initial goal was to find a non-toxic mattress that helped me fall and stay asleep, but seems to be a unicorn so far. I think our next attempt will be a foray into a latex hybrid or full latex mattress.

We’ve tried a Brentwood Home Oceano - beautiful, well constructed mattress…but WAY TOO firm. When we bought in '20 the Oceano was listed as Medium Plush, I see now it’s been revised to a 4.5 ‘Medium Soft’…which makes me wonder if they’ve updated the mattress since we owned it. Brentwood was great to work with, but ultimately we returned it for a full refund.

We then got a Purple 2 Hybrid. We initially liked it, but I think that was just a reaction from the firm Oceano experience. By the time we decided that it wasn’t for us we had missed our return window…so we’ve now had it for about two years and are again looking for something else.

Our current ‘for consideration’ list currently includes:
Wink EcoCloud
Nest Owl (likely plush firmness)
Brentwood home Hybrid Latex
Luma Hybrid Mattress Slumber System (likely plush firmness)
Sleep EZ Natural or Organic Latex (the only full latex option - but not really sure about configuration)

We’d appreciate any advice or suggestions, and are happy to answer any additional questions.

Thanks in advance!

You seem to have done your research; your selections all have good quality materials and components…if you are not able to visit a showroom to check out each mattress for comfort and support, I would contact them to offer guidance on which comfort options would be right for you based on their experience on other customers that are similar to you.

In the case of Sleep EZ Arizona SleepEz Factory I would reach out to Roger or Jeremy as they rarely have any returns for quality issues or comfort mismatches; they have a dedicated forum here on The Mattress Underground, and you can reach their showroom at (480) 966-8785.

Also Nest Bedding is one of our trusted members and have excellent customer service, as well as Luma sleep both of which some of our team members have had great personal experiences with on their own mattresses

Please let us know which one you choose once you have found the perfect choice!

Hi Basilio - thanks for the welcome and response.

I think the only option that we’d have a chance to see in a showroom might be the Wink.
I’ll reach out to the folks you recommend above to get a sense of what direction they may suggest as well.
