I have been researching a replacement mattress and have used this site quite a bit. This has been a fanatasic resource in wading through the fog of the mattress world. Thanks for providing this resource, Phoenix. I am now going to give a little back with my experience with Select Foam.
We are coming from a pillow top innerspring that was great, but is showing its again (8 years) and sagging. We are starting to have trouble sleeping and my wife has developed shoulder pain. We are both side sleepers and average weight and build.
We decided we were going to get a foam mattress, but latex was eliminated immediately due to my wife’s latex allergy. We started researching memory foam beds. After some testing at some local retailers, we found that we both were happy with the Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe mattress. I begain looking for mattresses of similar builds to the Tempurpedic. Long story short, we chose to go with Select Foam. They always answered the phone and were more than happy to spend the time to answer all of our questions. I specifically grilled them on the return policy and they kept it simple…if we are not happy, they will take it back or swap it out for another one at no charge period. They even wil have someone come and packup the existing mattress to return it. For the purchase, I dealt with Juan Quintero. He answered my remaining questions and made the purchase of a eastern king Cirrus Luxe 13 a breeze. I found that Select Foam employees were exceedingly polite and helpful throughout.
As for the actual review, I will post pics when it arrives and will keep provide updates as we adjust to the new mattress.
I am also planning to build a custom foundation. I plan on having four “modules” (for ease of moving around) each with a drawer for storage. I will post pics of the build process on that as well. That might be a month or so off though.
