Simple question about unboxing and stacking DIY layers

Hi there,

Easy question that I can’t seem to find the answer to regarding the unboxing and stacking part of the DIY process. Should each layer be given the time to expand to its given capacity before the subsequent layer is stacked on top? Should all layers be separately allowed to expand before being added to each other?

Thanks for any advice!

What you’re suggesting makes good sense for memory foam layers since they take time to recover from being compressed and shrink wrapped, but it doesn’t really apply to latex layers since they almost instantly pop back to their full uncompressed size once unwrapped. That’s my experience with latex layers which were shipped and promptly unpacked, although I suppose there may be a bit more time required for full expansion if they’ve been kept compressed for a long period of time. Hope that helps!

Hello. If you are referring to latex toppers you may stack them right away. Memory foam takes a few days to expand fully though.
