Sleep EZ vs Latex Mattress Factory vs Foam Sweet Foam’s Latex Components

Hi,

I’m planning to purchase some components for a latex mattress for my very elderly mother-in-law who is moving in with us this fall. I’m trying to get her a 100% latex bed on a budget.

Currently, I’m looking primarily at Latex Mattress Factory, Sleep EZ, and Foam Sweet Foam. However, I noticed that the three appear to be the same company. Is this not correct?

I’m curious about the differences in their latex. The Latex Mattress Factory site appears to state that all of their latex is GOTS certified and I believe that Foam Sweet Foam is the same. While I find Sleep EZ’s website a little more confusing. It looks like their “natural latex” (the less expensive option) perhaps isn’t GOTS certified while their “organic latex” is GOTS certified.

Sleep EZ’s “natural latex” is slightly less expensive than the latex component’s listed on Latex Mattress Factory, but Sleep EZ’s “organic latex” is more expensive. Foam Sweet Foam seems to be slightly less expensive than either.

Can anyone help shed light on this? I’m a little confused. I’ve read everything I can find on their respective websites including the FAQ’s, full product pages/descriptions, the GOTS certification (which at least the LFM & S-EZ sites appear to share). I’ve tried to do my homework before posting.

I’m open to other options, too, if there are some other recommendations. However in some cases, the additional charges for shipping make it unaffordable (as is the case for Arizona Premium due to our distance from their shipping location).

Thanks so much in advance!

FWIW, in case someone finds this later on, I learned a little more after reaching out the Foam Sweet Foam today.

As many here may already know, Sleep EZ, Latex Mattress Factory, Foam Sweet Foam, and DIYMattress are all related sister sites.

FSF & LMF both have the GOLS certified latex components and none of their latex is blended, it’s natural (about 98% natural latex plus about 2% surfactants and such from the manufacturing process…more info is available on their site(s)). I was told that the latex is also OKEO TEX certified. I’m still less clear on the two different 3” latex layer options on Sleep EZ (and whether either option is the same as what’s sold on LFM or FSF) but for my purchase, one of the other places is less expensive anyway. The warranty on toppers/DIY layers are the same at 1 year across all of their sites.

Hope that might help someone else.

hank you for your thoughtful question! While it may appear that Sleep EZ, Latex Mattress Factory, and Foam Sweet Foam are related, each brand operates independently with unique product lines and policies. However, all three brands share the same high standards when it comes to latex quality.
To clarify, all of our Dunlop latex is GOLS certified across all three brands. As for Talalay latex, it is 100% natural and certified by Oeko-Tex, which ensures that it’s as close to organic as possible since Talalay latex does not carry GOLS certification. This may be why you’ve noticed some slight differences between the brands’ offerings and pricing.
Each company is designed to meet the needs of different customers, so you may notice variations in price and product configurations. We’d be happy to help you find the best option for your mother-in-law’s comfort and budget. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

Thanks for sharing! That’s great to hear that you had such a good experience from Arizona Premium. They were one place that I carefully checked out. Looks like they have great products.

However, due to the distance I live from their shipping location, it just isn’t doable for me as shipping is a couple hundred dollars. Really wipes out any savings. :frowning:

Hi @Sleep_EZ!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post and share more about your sites. I appreciate you clarifying. The info I shared was from what I was told via chat with a couple of your team members and they were the ones that used the “sister sites” terminology. I really appreciate you adding the extra info and clarification!

I also really appreciate you sharing about the GOLS certification across all of your brands. I have a rare and serious respiratory disorder so the certification is important to me. It was the Sleep EZ products that confused me since there are listings/dropdowns for “regular” Dunlop (no mention of GOLS), GOLS Dunlop, “organic Dunlop” (which also shows GOLS). These are separate to the Talalay option that you mentioned. It’s great to hear that you put so much thought into sourcing the best, cleanest products that you can offer! That means a lot.

what size it is and how is your exprience and how much it costed?
tnx

I’m about to order so don’t have it yet. But I’ve been sleeping on latex mattresses for nearly 20 years so I’m sure it will be great.

Getting a three layer setup, 3” each of firm, medium, soft. Total will be around $538 for a Twin XL.

While I’ve yet to check out, I did reach out to support a couple of times and had a great experience. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions.
