I have chronic low back/leg pain and finally decided to get a new bed. I was leaning towards spending quite a bit of money on the iComfort series. My current bed is about 10 years old, so it is due for a change. I live in Eau Claire, WI (54701) and from searching the site it seemed like my best options were over an hour drive. I was planning on making some long trips which can be pretty uncomfortable, until I found the reviews on the Ultimate Dream line. It seems like the best option unless you have some other suggestions that are fairly close.
I am just happy I can get a good quality bed for a good price with the information I have read on this site.
The closest factory direct manufacturers or retailer “possibilities” are listed in post #2 here (which I’m guessing you’ve seen) although I haven’t looked specifically in Eau Claire. If I have the chance, I’ll take a look to see what if anything jumps out in terms of possibilites that is local to you and post them here if anything shows up.
As you probably know … Dreamfoam is a member of the site which means that I think very highly of them and their quality, service, and value and for those who are looking for a latex/polyfoam hybrid they would make a very good choice.
I spent some time online and it looks like the retailers that have the best “possibilities” in or near Eau Claire (and the brands they carry I would focus on) are…
http://www.happysleeperfurniture.com/ Eau Claire, WI. and Waite park, MN. Englander, Ecosleep, Corsicana, Restonic
http://www.cvfurnituredirect.com/Mattresses.html Eau Claire, WI. Symbol
http://economyfurniture.us/ Chippewa Falls, WI. Englander, Restonic
http://verlo.com/ Wasau, WI. Regional factory direct manufacturer. they make a wide range of innerspring, memory foam, and latex mattresses with better than average value in most areas.
If you plan to do any mattress testing at any of these, I would suggest “interviewing” them along the lines of this article to make sure they can give you the information you need about their mattresses and to give you a sense of what you can expect if you visit them.
