SPLIT ADJUSTABLE BED

My wife found a company in Florida that has a split adjustable king or queen size bed…one that is not 2 twins but a split halfway down to your waist.
Ralax In Comfort is the name.
Is there anyone else that makes this kind of bed or is that a proprietary item.
She likes a split but only halfway rather than on e mattress that adjusts or 2 twins that are separate adjustments
Wants it for Florida and NY

I found a website: http://www.relaxincomfort.com/healthy-mattresses.html

On the website, it says that it is patented, but I also know there are services out there like this one: http://www.artisansmattress.com/

Hi vinerino,

If you mean the adjustable bed itself then I don’t know of any that are like that (and I didn’t see the model listed on the Relax in Comfort website). If you mean the mattress itself then I’ve seen a few of these including the one on the Relax in Comfort website here (they don’t say who makes it). If memory serves me right Natura and Dormia and ComfortAire either make or made one and WJ Southard may have made one as well. I have even seen them with a split head and foot but attached in the middle but a quick search didn’t bring up the specific mattress. They tend to be significantly more costly than regular split king or split queen mattresses.

If you do go with one of these then you would need to make sure that the adjustable bed underneath it didn’t have the wall hugger feature (there is a version of the Leggett & Platt Prodigy for example that doesn’t have it) or you may damage the mattress and you would also need custom sheets as well (a google search on “split head sheets” will bring up a few options for these).
