Hello all, I am contemplating getting 2 Twin XL bases but NOT getting split mattresses. Any thoughts on this? Anyone done this - and what was your experience. Thank you!

Most KING mattresses bases / boxsprings come in 2 Twin XL bases to facilitate handling into the house and installation in the bedroom. If you are referring to a KING electric adjustable base (2 x twin xl), then we suggest to buy 2 x TWIN XL mattresses. The main advantages are that you can adjust and tilt your side of the mattress independently from your partners side of the bed. Furthermore you can choose two different mattresses with different feels and comfort levels to accommodate different sleep preferences and positions. Lastly, by placing two mattresses over a KING base, it will provide almost complete motion isolation, so your movement won’t disturb your sleep partner.
