Hi. I purchased a king sized Talalay latex mattress and topper in 2013. This is going to sound bizarre but recently I started detecting movement in my mattress that goes on throughout the night. It is so noticeable I can’t sleep. I use 100% cotton sheets and the mattress sits on a metal frame and two twin box springs (see pics). I looked under the bed and it doesn’t appear that the mattress is sagging at all. Have you heard of this issue before with all natural latex mattress? I’m almost to the point of throwing it out because I’m so sleep deprived. Thank you.
Sorry to hear about the discomfort you’re experiencing with your mattress. Do you feel as if your body is sagging into the mattress deeper than you used to, or can you have someone look at you in your primary sleeping position to see if it appears that you’re hammocking? Upper comfort layers in a mattress tend to take the most wear over time and soften in areas of most use. Since you mentioned that your setup includes a topper could you remove the topper and try the mattress without it to see how it changes your perceived comfort and sleep quality? Another experiment would be to try the mattress directly placed on a carpeted floor rather than your box springs to determine if they might be part of the problem.
