TandL's Shopping Thread
Hi Thread been quiet awhile, but been looking at Tandls bed as same options for my next bed. Great job with the bed review Tandl!

I spoke with Carlos who mentioned this thread! He recommended the 28ILD with the gel memory form as well. Im 37, 5 10’ 230-250 depending n time year more of power-lifter/ football build.I have some lower back and neck injuries.

I looking for something that felt like Tempurpedic Weightless Supreme I own (but allergic to), which you get that bouncing weightless feel from it(I like), but wanted a little more memory foam and little more support.

TandL just wondering if the top feels like a pillow top that you will roll off the bed or can you sleep on edge of the bed well.

Also with the options you got is physical activity on the bed difficult! Can you move around easy without sinking too much!?

Also your top looks like has quilted button ynot sure if this change which on Brooklyns website show more smooth top now which i would prefer!

Thanks
Rob it sounds like all your concerns were the same as mine. We are basically the same height, weight and built. I think you would be pretty to close to achieving your likings with the recommendations from Carlos.

Unlike others, this bed seems to have relatively decent support around the edge, and you will sink a bit into the memory foam comfort layer.

With this combination i find it relatively easy to flip and roll on.

Quilting/ticking as far as pattern is concern, in my opinion is mainly cosmetic. That should not be a sticking point.

Keep in mind that it took me quite sometime to adjust to this bed… but i am so glad i stuck it out. With the combination of pillows to choose from and the new mattress, I now have been relived of any of the lower back aches, and trapezoid pain i had before. Now when i am sore from the gym, when i sleep i recover.

what was the reason it took so long to adjust? what was bothering you during the adjustment?Does the bed sleep fairly cool do you get hot in it like some other memory foam?

Not exactly sure why i took so long to adjust, I guess everyone does at their own pace and some may not adjust at all, however my partner bonded instantly with it. I have sciatica pain in my left upper glute and a knot in my trapzoid muscle and neither seem to be serius injuries and I am assuming that they were probably casued by the old mattress that obviously was way to firm. As far as temperatures this will be subjective and I have only owned it during the winter months where we normally use an electric blanket so i find myself sleeping warmer during the winter, so i really shouldnt comment.

Feel free to ask me more questions but if you havnt you may want to start your own thread and have pheonix show you the ropes, the aloe bed by bb.com is an outstanding bed and i am not advising you otherwise. But the knowledge you will gain by the little bit of research from this site is priceless.

I have sciatica pain in my left upper glute too from herniated disc and sleeping on non supportive mattress make it worst. I have left neck/ trap pain from a herniated disc as well. Sleeping on sagging non supportive mattress make them both worst. But i also need the pressure relief!

Sounds a lot like my ailments though I have not been diagnosed with any disc problems … Yet!
