Tempur-Pedic LuxeAdapt vs. Tempflow SupremeConforma

This is my first time posting on this forum, and my first time shopping for a mattress in general. I’m absolutely floored by all the knowledge I’ve gleaned from this website over the past month or so, and I’m hoping that you guys can help me out on my own journey.

So, after much field testing and research, I’ve found that I really enjoy the feel of the Tempur-Pedic memory foam, particularly the LuxeAdapt Soft. However, I am aware of the mixed reviews on this brand, and the pricing is ridiculously astronomical. Then, I came across several posts here talking about Tempflow mattresses, how they’re not only comparable to Tempur-Pedic but straight-up better. I went to the Tempflow website, and I saw them advertising that the SupremeConforma is the mattress that most compares to the LuxeAdapt, and much less expensive too!

The thing is, I’ve heard so little about Tempflow in general, barely any reviews or testimonials from actual customers and critics. Not that I’m doubting Tempflow’s legitimacy or anything, but I just wanted to get some actual first-hand accounts from Tempflow owners before I bite the bullet.

  1. Is there anyone here who owns or has owned a Tempflow mattress at some point (if it’s also a SupremeConforma, even better)? If so, how long did that mattress last, or is it still going strong?

  2. I’ve also heard that brand new Tempur-Pedic mattresses are incredibly hard to break in and are not nearly as soft as they are in the store (at least, not at first). Is this an issue with the Tempflow mattresses?

  3. If I do get the Tempflow SupremeConforma Soft, what kind of pillow do you think would match best with it?

  4. I saw that the Tempflow website sells adjustable bases, but they’re pretty expensive. Just buying the mattress itself would already be a massive undertaking for me. So, would a Tempflow mattress be compatible with any adjustable base, or would it only work with the specific ones on their website?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, but I really wanted to just dot my i’s and cross my t’s before I make my final decision. Thank you all in advance!

I have tried both. Is there any way you can try both in person?

I did go to the Tempflow/BackScience showroom in Agoura Hills, Calif. I did end up buying a BackScience 2. I love it! The key was the lumbar support. Ive heard that they are putting the lumbar support in the TempFlows also (custom?).

The Tempflow showroom is in California, right? If so, then no, sadly, I can’t. I live all the way in south Texas. :disappointed:

That is true, but I will say that you never really know how a mattress will do until you sleep on it and with Tempflow, it has a very comparable feel to Tempur-Pedic and we even compare which models are similar to their particular models, so if you know you like the feel of those, then going to a showroom won’t change anything and in fact, we have a higher success rate with customers that purchase based on their sleep needs, rather than just the feeling they get when in the showroom. That said, we do offer the ability to use our GripLock modular cover system that allows completely free modifications to the mattress to change the firmness and/or support of the mattress after you get it and it is a very simple thing to exchange out those additional layers. Additionally, we do offer completely free exchanges and you also have a 4-month sleep trial with Tempflow that allows you to be return the mattress with no restocking fees. I am happy to have a conversation to go over you particular individual needs if you would like to give us a call at 800 667-1969 or email us through the www.Tempflow.com website.
Thanks!

This all sounds very promising! The GripLock sounds especially interesting. From what I looked up about it, it seems to be mostly a BackScience thing, but can it also apply to a Tempflow? And could I be able to ask for a GripLock at any point while owning this mattress, or does it have a certain limit?

I very much appreciate how much you’re willing to accommodate my needs. I’m going to be moving apartments around May-June, so I’m not in a rush to buy this mattress at the moment. But once this moving day gets closer, I’ll definitely reach out to you guys. Thank you!

It is my pleasure and to answer the question about the GripLock system, you just have to ask for ask for that upfront before or even right after your order and we can produce and send it that way from the get go. I look forward to working with you whenever you are ready.
